Adam Giles had just 3% battery on his phone when he put in the final bid on a three-bedroom, Grade II house up for sale by auction in Bewdley, Worcestershire.

When Adam spotted the property was up for sale he knew he had to buy it. But with just 72 hours left before it went to auction, he had to move quickly. By the time he viewed the property, there were just three hours left until the auction was due to finish. After the viewing, he went straight to the bank, got a mortgage agreement in principle and got himself up on the online portal ready to bid.

Just three hours later Adam was the proud owner (subject to completion) of his new home!
